Service Description

ABC Parenting offers a 10-week, live online parenting education program designed to meet DCFS and court-mandated parenting education requirements. Our program incorporates the Breakthrough Parenting® curriculum, providing practical parenting strategies, interactive instruction, and real-world tools to help parents build stronger, healthier relationships with their children. Important: Participants are responsible for attending all scheduled classes, arriving on time, actively participating, and completing all course requirements. Certificates of Completion will only be issued after all program requirements have been successfully. Class Schedule & Requirements: Classes are every Tuesday and start @ 6:30 PM sharp. Each class is 90 minutes long. Participants should log in at least 5 minutes before class begins to ensure they are connected and ready to participate on time. Registration: Classes must be purchased in advance for $35.00. A secure link to access the live online session will be provided following registration and payment. Course Materials: Participants should download the required class workbook before attending their first session and have it available during every weekly class. . Please have a pen, pencil, or other note-taking materials available. Participation & Technology: Active participation and engagement are expected during every class. Cameras must remain on throughout each session, and participants are encouraged to contribute to discussions and activities. Participants are expected to read the assigned chapter before each session and come prepared to discuss the material. Please test your camera, microphone, and internet connection before each class. Participants are responsible for ensuring their equipment is functioning properly. Failure to connect on time or maintain the required camera participation may result in being marked absent. Attendance & Completion Policy: Attendance is mandatory for all 10 weekly sessions to qualify for a Certificate of Completion. Participants who miss more than one class, even with excused absences, will be required to restart the entire 10-week program. An unexcused absence may affect eligibility for a Certificate of Completion and could require the participant to restart the entire 10-week program. Make-Up Classes: Participants may be permitted one make-up class per ten week session. No refunds will be issued for missed classes. See you on Tuesday
